Mindfulness
is a psychological process that enables us to focus our attention, on whatever
is appearing in the field of our present moment awareness, and to remain open and
curious to that experience. Consequently allowing us to step back from
conditioned reactivity, thereby enabling more freedom of response to external
and internal events.

Mindfulness , enables us to become more aware of our hidden, and often unhelpful, mental habits. These mental habits can restrict us from experiencing life as it really is ,in the present moment

understanding and acceptance of suffering ..is not....like sitting in one's own dirty bath water and believing that acceptance means you should'nt do anything. Indeed acceptance is an act of courage that calls for wise action. So if we only focus on the ability to engage and understand pain we actually miss half the story.

Mindfulness Training, allows us to move from a psychological position, where we are mostly governed by mental habits, and old thinking patterns, to a mental state that is more about present moment awareness "being in the now".Amazingly this allows us to open to new possibilities in our lives, observing and responding with a more open attitude to events. The next Mindfulness Introduction evening is on Tuesday 12th February at 7pm in the Clayton Hotel Galway cost €5. |

Write your post here.
Maybe thoughts and thinking are not the problem ,,,, maybe its our relationship to our thoughts that can some times cause us problems
